Day 03-Kovalam-Alleppey
After the breakfast, check out from the Hotel and drive to Alleppey.On arrival check in to the Houseboat. Enjoy an enchanting two days backwater cruise in traditionally decorated Houseboat. While cruising in this floating luxury-villa let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual-skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed down paddy fields, local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. Delicious food will be served on board. Cooking classes on request. you also can prepare food for yourself. Overnight stay in the Houseboat.
Day 04 Alleppey Houseboat Cruise
After a refreshing breakfast, the second day of the cruise will resume and it will take you to some typical Kuttanadan villages.Kainakary,Chennamkary,Champakulam,Nedumudy,Thakazhy, Pallathuruthy are among them. Kuttanadu is called the ‘Rice bowl of Kerala’. Sightseeing attractions in Kuttanadu include Chavara shrine,Champakkulam st:mary’s Forane church, Champakkulam snakeboat, Karumady Buddha statue, Ambalappuzha Krishna temple etc.. Overnight stay in the Houseboat.
Day 05 Alleppey-Kumarakom
After the breakfast check out from the Houseboat at Kumarakom (check out time: 9:15 am ).On arrival check in to the Hotel in Kumarakom, a land lying on the banks of lake Vembanadu (Kerala’s biggest lake) enveloped with stunning scenery. Kumarakom bird sanctuary, a home to thousand and more of rare Species of birds is also included in the Itinerary .Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 06 Kumarakom-Thekkady
After the breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady(118km 04hours drive).On arrival check in to the hotel. Spend the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Day 07 Thekkady tour
After the breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Thekkady-one of the world’s most fascinating wildlife reserves. The Periyar wildlife sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777sq km of which 360 sq km is thick evergreen forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared tiger reserve in 1978 .Optional activities like boating at periyar lake, Spice plantation visit, Bamboo rafting, Trekking and Elephant ride can be done at an extra cost. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Day 08 Thekkady –Munnar
After an early breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Munnar (04 hours drive). On arrival check in to the hotel .Spend the day at leisure. Overnight stay is arranged in Munnar
Day 09 Munnar Tour
After breakfast spend the day with local sightseeing. Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams –Mudrappuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. Munnar is 1600 meters above sea level. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British Government in south India. Local sightseeing’s of Munnar include visit to Mattupetty Dam,Kundale Lake and Echo point. After Noon Proceed to Rajamalai where the rarest species of Mountain goat ‘‘Nilgiri Tars’’, can be spotted. Return to the hotel for an Overnight stay.
Day 10 Munnar-Fort Cochin
After an early breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Fort cochin(140km 04hours drive).On arrival check in to the hotel in Fort cochin .Spend the day with local sightseeing in and around Cochin-the ‘Queen of Arabian sea ‘this is one of the finest natural harbors in the world and was one of the major centers for commerce and trade with British, Portuguese, Dutch etc…Sightseeing attractions in Cochin include Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jewish Street, St:Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Chinese Fishing nets, etc…Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 11 Fort Cochin-Cochin
After the breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Cochin Airport/Railway station (40 Km 01hour drive) for onward journey. |
